Job description

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer, who is passionate about bringing innovative software solutions to end customers. You will be part of a new service offering to assist our clients in the adoption and support of VOLTA, our collaborative framework for multidisciplinary design projects.


The Opportunity

This is a unique career opportunity to be part of a distributed team that delivers technical and strategic services assisting our clients in the definition, implementation and maintenance of VOLTA. You will work with our engineers and technical support team to integrate and optimize our platform efficiently into a client's environment, and educate the client to become self-sufficient in operationalizing the platform. Activities will be coordinated with our client representatives.


What your day will look like:

  • Work with enterprise clients in order to successfully roll out a new enterprise deployment from inception to delivery, identifying optimal configuration and operational parameters to match SLAs.

  • Problem solving and incident management of a deployed distributed application.

  • Transfer to the client the knowledge of the parameters and procedures needed to optimally operate and maintain their deployed application.

  • Maintain excellent client relations, with professional and courteous management of communication and client expectations.

  • Technical support on pre-sales activities.

Job requirements

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • 2 years of experience as an IT professional, DevOps Engineer or Software Developer with experience deploying and managing web applications.

  • Familiarity with:
    • Java in an enterprise environment, including messaging systems.

    • administering Linux operating systems (commands and shells), Windows basic administration tasks.

    • web server configuration, administration and security

    • Understanding of the concepts behind containerization and orchestration

  • Understanding of LDAP/Active Directory, REST APIs and related security.

  • Prior support experience with on-site projects at client locations.

  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work both with a distributed team and independently when needed.

  • Ability to travel to client locations in the US. Occasional travel to client locations may be required


We will really love you if you have:

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem: usage, setup, administration, troubleshooting and tuning

  • Strong experience with major cloud platforms and tooling, especially Azure, AWS or Google Cloud

  • Experience with RDBMS configuration (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)

  • Ability to devise with clients possible deployment and configuration options and alternatives, advising on cost or business impact.

  • Ability to translate customer needs into technical requests for the development team, and assessing the business impact caused by technical issues.

  • Passion for learning new technologies and becoming proficient in new disciplines.
