Support Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Support Engineer to join our technical services team in ESTECO’s North American office. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting our clients in the use of our software technology platforms, modeFRONTIER and VOLTA. The position is based in the Detroit area and will involve some travel, both domestic and international.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.


The main responsibilities will be:

  • provide application support for ESTECO software platforms (modeFRONTIER and VOLTA) to ESTECO North America customers (industry sectors include Automotive, Aerospace, Consumer Appliances, Oil & Gas);

  • understand customer domain problems and develop and implement engineering optimization solutions using ESTECO technology;

  • provide application support to customers and guide them on Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) strategies and Design Exploration methods;

  • work with customers to integrate third-party Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools in modeFRONTIER in order to enable CAE process automation;

  • assist and conduct technical training and workshops for new and existing customers;

  • assist and conduct product demonstrations for new customers and contribute to case studies;

  • assist and conduct pre-sales support activities;

  • collaborate with colleagues in other ESTECO offices and partner companies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an engineering or applied science discipline;

  • experience of commercially used CAE and CAD tools;

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Candidates with the following skills will have a distinct advantage:

  • knowledge of Optimization and Statistical Methods;

  • programming and scripting skills;

  • a proactive attitude and willingness to learn;

  • fluency in Spanish.
