On-site Support Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Support Engineer to work onsite at one of our clients’ sites, in the Indianapolis area. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the clients in the use of our software technology platforms modeFRONTIER and VOLTA.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.


The main responsibilities will be:

  • provide application support for ESTECO software platforms (modeFRONTIER and VOLTA) to our client;

  • understand customer domain problems and develop and implement engineering optimization solutions using ESTECO technology;

  • provide application support to the users and guide them on Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) strategies and Design Exploration methods;

  • work with our client to integrate third-party Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools in modeFRONTIER in order to enable CAE process automation;

  • assist and conduct technical training and workshops at host company;

  • assist and conduct pre-sales support activities at host company;

  • collaborate with colleagues in other ESTECO offices and partner companies.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an engineering or applied science discipline;

  • experience of commercially used CAE and CAD tools;

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Candidates with the following skills will have a distinct advantage:

  • knowledge of ANSYS products would be a distinctive advantage;

  • knowledge of Optimization and Statistical Methods;

  • programming and scripting skills;

  • a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
